Now what do I write about?

As a first post, I suppose I will do a little bit of introductory work. I have had this idea brewing in my head recently after a number of sleepless nights due to my bad habit of researching political issues at night. I don't like to waste the day being on the computer so I put it off. But maybe that wasn't such a good idea... When will I have time to sleep? Anyway, I used to hand-write a diary of sorts to ease my mind in the past when I wrestled with the isolation of living with my dad in rural Florida. I had no internet and pretty much no anything. Thank God that time has passed and I have moved on into somewhat better times.
What is fueling this blog is really my lack of contentment. Not with my life, but with what feels like my inability to genuinely and thoughtfully communicate with intelligent individuals. I watch a lot of videos and read many articles, many of which have fervorous debates within their comments. But it just seems like a really poor way to express myself. I really believe that full thoughts are very important. I tend to carry on sometimes when I talk because I like to explain things in detail. It may sound like a bad thing, but it really isn't. How can you understand a concept I am trying to explain if I don't go into every layer and aspect? Some things are much more complicated than some people try to pass them off as.
In essence, I believe this to be one of the key reasons our politics and media are devolving. Sound bites are just one small example of how this is occurring. Don't even get me started on 24hr cable news. Everything is formed around tidbits of information that are not fully analyzed. But what irks me the most is that they abuse it so much. The use of "key phrases" is very big and it does literally write a narrative of how some individuals want viewers/readers/listeners to see the world. I bet you could write a story using these "phrases" to describe "American politics" and it would not be a nice read. We all know what I'm talking about, but just for safe measure here are a few: bleeding-heart liberal, fringe, dirty hippies, death panels, the right, the left, ultra-right-wing-conservative, government option, obamacare, class warfare. I kind of struggled with that. It's been a while since I've watched 24hr news. And liberals are NOT above it. They just do it in their own way.
The purpose of bringing this up was to say that most people I talk to actually buy into this nonsense and almost jump at the chance to use it. If you use a media-promoted term I can't take you seriously. It loosely means you can't describe things with your own words and rely on you've heard. Therefor, you are just a tape recorder to spread their bias. I don't need to argue with someone who doesn't think for themselves, sorry. But sadly this is what I see a lot of. It is quite rage worthy seeing someone post that same ignorance over and over and over again. It makes me want to get involved and tell them how wrong they are on that basis alone, but what is the point in that? Getting in a week long debate with an ignorant person within the comments of some article or video? It's annoying. If I am going to debate someone I would rather do it in that moment all at once as to not lose my momentum. Actually the real problem is I just don't like reading nasty comments back when I've totally forgotten about it and am in a good mood. At that point I just don't care.
So instead of letting all these ideas go to waste, I am including them here. There are so many things I could talk about tonight, but it's already after 2am. I am muslim and do wake up to pray at 6:30ish so staying up late is not a good idea. I guess tomorrow I will try to talk about some issues I am currently interested in. A list of a few that might help me remember for the future: Ron Paul, Occupy Wall St, Obama as President, Internet media's role in revolution, Republican vs Democrat, being independent, our economy, etc
